Buttercream Cake Size, Delivery & Storage FAQs

What size buttercream cake should I order?

Most Bonne Bouche round celebration cakes are available in 7 inch and 10 inch sizes. As a guide, a 7 inch cake serves around 6-8 portions and a 10 inch cake serves around 12-14 portions. Check the product page before ordering, as availability can vary by cake.

Can I add a personalised message to a buttercream cake?

Selected cakes offer an icing plaque message. Add your message in the notes at checkout and keep it to a maximum of 30 characters, for example “Happy Birthday Maria”.

How should I store a buttercream cake before serving?

Keep the cake cool and away from direct heat or sunlight. If the cake contains fresh cream, cream cheese or other chilled fillings, refrigerate it until shortly before serving.

Can I collect a buttercream cake next day?

Orders placed before 8 pm may be available for next-day collection from London shops, but some cakes require up to 2 days’ notice. Always check the product page before ordering.

Dietary Requirements & Allergens
Do you offer gluten-free cakes?

We do not currently offer gluten-free cakes. Our gluten-free options are limited to:

  • Gluten-Free Cannoli
  • Florentines
  • Flapjacks

All products are prepared in a bakery that handles gluten. Cross-contamination may occur, so we cannot guarantee that any product is completely allergen-free.

Are your products Halal?

Most of our products are suitable for a Halal diet, and we use bovine gelatine rather than pork gelatine.

Exceptions include sausage rolls, ham quiche and products containing alcohol, including Chocolate Rum Gateau and Truffle Gateau.

Please check the individual product information or contact us if you have specific dietary requirements.

Do you offer vegetarian options?

Most of our products are vegetarian. Exceptions include:

  • Sausage rolls
  • Ham quiche
  • All mousse cakes
  • Chocolate Delice
  • Chocolate Rum Gateau
  • Other products containing bovine gelatine

Do you offer vegan options?

Our vegan selection is limited and availability may change. Please check the individual product description or contact your nearest shop before ordering.

Can you guarantee that a product is allergen-free?

No. All our products are prepared in an environment that handles the 14 major allergens, including nuts, peanuts, sesame, milk, eggs and cereals containing gluten.

Although we take great care, cross-contamination may occur, so we cannot guarantee that any product is completely allergen-free.

Do you make custom cake designs?

Bonne Bouche does not currently offer fully bespoke cake designs.

For personalised birthday, wedding and celebration cakes, we recommend Uli’s Cakes & Treats.

Uli’s operates independently and handles all enquiries, orders and payments directly.

Do you offer home delivery?

Yes. We offer next-day delivery Monday to Saturday for orders placed before 8pm, available within selected postcode areas.

Some products require up to 2 days’ notice. Please check the individual product page before ordering.

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to addresses outside these postcode areas.

What is the minimum order for delivery?

The minimum local delivery order is £30.

  • Orders from £30 to £59.99: £4.95 delivery
  • Orders of £60 or more: Free delivery

The delivery fee is calculated automatically at checkout.

When will my order be delivered?

We deliver Monday to Saturday between 10:30am and 2pm. We do not deliver on Sundays or bank holidays.

Please ensure someone is available to receive the order during the delivery window.

Can I choose my delivery or collection date?

Yes. Add your products to the cart and select your preferred date and time before proceeding to checkout.

Available dates depend on the products ordered and their required preparation time.

Do you offer Click & Collect?

Yes. Free Click & Collect is available from our London shops.

Order before 8pm for next-day collection. Collections are available from 11am until 15 minutes before the shop closes.
